Het boek Invasive Plant Medicine van Timothy Scott focust op de geneeskracht van invasieve exoten en hun ecologische voordelen. Zoals we weten, kunnen invasieve planten zich snel uitbreiden. Vaak wordt deze eigenschap gekoppeld aan uitheemse soorten die exoten worden genoemd en doorgaans in een negatief daglicht worden geplaatst.
