Vervuiling van bodem, water en atmosfeer is een toenemend probleem. België en voornamelijk Vlaanderen zijn in dat opzicht zeker niet de beste leerlingen van de klas. Wat betreft luchtverontreiniging bengelen we helemaal achteraan. België riskeert zelfs een Europese boete voor het niet naleven van de normen voor fijn stof. Ook op het vlak van andere luchtpolluenten scoren we slecht.
